Prestwick is an exceptional 18-hole regulation golf course situated in Avon, Indiana. From the longest tees, it spans 6,885 yards with a par of 72. Designed by Robert Simmons, the course opened its doors in 1974. It boasts a course rating of 73.7 and a slope rating of 127. As a public golf course, Prestwick welcomes players seven days a week and offers seasonal passes. It stands as one of the premier 18-hole golf courses in central Indiana, featuring four sets of tees that allow for a range of play from 5,800 to 6,875 yards, depending on the level of challenge desired.
The course is vibrant, family-friendly, and focused on golf. Prestwick has served as a testing ground for many of Indiana’s leading professional and amateur golfers. It has a distinguished tournament history, having hosted events such as the Indiana Men’s State Open, Indiana Women’s State Open, Indianapolis Open, Indiana State Amateur, Indiana Match Play Championship, and the IHSAA State Championships for both boys and girls.
